In my math classes, we do not follow a specific textbook.  Instead, I develop activities and lessons from a wide variety of resources in order to best meet the needs of all my students.  We use journals daily for problem solving, notes and content exploration.  Real world connections, vocational applications, manipulatives, models, investigations, and technology will be used throughout the class.  Other subject areas will be integrated whenever appropriate.  I utilize a wide variety of teaching and evaluation methods including journal writing, learning centers, portfolios, performance tasks, challenge centers, projects, discussions, cooperative learning, activities, tests, quizzes, and games.  In addition, homework will be given a few times a week to reinforce concepts taught at school.
